Winter Swim Lessons at Wallen Swim
Winter is coming and so are new swim lesson sessions!

Beginning this Winter, Steve Wallen Swim School in El Dorado Hills and Roseville will begin new swim lessons for infants, kids, and adults of all skill levels.

Don’t let the cold weather fool you, now is a great time to sign up if you haven’t already. The following are some reasons why you shouldn’t pass up on winter swim lessons this winter.

Summer Is Just Around The Corner

When most people think of winter they automatically assume that it is not a good season to swim.

This isn’t always true however especially here at SWSS. Not only do we have a heated indoor pool in El Dorado Hills and Roseville, but we also have many swimmers that want to return and continue swimming after the Fall session.

Summer is obviously a great time to swim, but it is important to learn to swim and practice prior to summer. This allows swimmers to prepare for a summer of fun, safe swimming.

Also, summer lessons can be busy. Scheduling a swimmer with the time that best suits your schedule may come easier this winter. Along with scheduling a time that fits your schedule you also have a better opportunity to reserve your preferred swim instructor.

Winter swim lessons at Steve Wallen Swim School is not only a great time to swim, but it also allows students the time to learn important water safety and water awareness skills for the upcoming summer.

Retain Developed Swimming Skills

Swimmers may not remember all swimming skills developed from previous swim lessons after months of being away from the pool. This goes for any skill. If someone takes 5 months off from practicing their musical instrument, they most likely will get a little rusty.

The same principle applies to swimmers. We feel it is even more important to keep up on your swimming skills because not only is it a skill, it is a life skill! Learning how to swim can save your life, or possibly help you save another. Keep your swimming skills fresh by signing up for year-round swimming lessons.

It’s Great Exercise to Swim

Getting into an activity that is good for your health is an awesome habit to achieve.

Once some people stop exercising for a certain period of time it may be challenging to start back up. Sometimes people take a break planning to stop for only a month or two, but then before they know it, it’s already summer. SWSS provides an indoor, year-round facility in El Dorado Hills and Roseville in order to help our students maximize their full potential and exercise regularly. Weekly swim schedules help students retain more skills and at the same time help students get stronger and stay healthier.

Start of Swim Clinics

SWSS offers swim clinics for more advanced swimmers, to help them better prepare for swim team. They are 45-minute practices with no more than six swimmers at a time so each student receives personal attention.

The El Dorado Hills and Roseville location hours are Monday and Thursday at 3:30, 4:15, and 5:00 pm.

It’s a fantastic way to build up endurance and technique for more advanced swimmers.

Conclusion

These are just a few reasons why having swim lessons during the winter season is a great idea.

Continue to stay in shape. Get a head start on skills for summertime. And retain developed skills from previous lessons through repetition of skills and consistency. These are all important factors to take into consideration.

So, just keep swimming!
