#2. Proven Philosophy
We are a family-owned and operated business, and we take great pride in providing a safe, enjoyable, and outstanding customer experience. Our core values of family first, positive attitudes, integrity, professionalism, and having fun are the bedrock of our philosophy and why we have been voted the best swim school for the past seven years! With over 40 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities to swim, we are an industry leader. The key to our success is our belief that everyone is family, and we consistently focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
We are a proud member of the United States Swim School Association, and we are fully licensed and insured. You and your children can learn to swim in a fun and efficient way, with a sound, thoughtful curriculum that provides water safety and swimming skills. The swimming instructors at Steve Wallen Swim School are professionals with the highest levels of personal integrity. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest teaching standards and being a leader in the swim school industry.
#3. Small Class Sizes
Every child deserves special attention in a productive, caring learning environment, with individualized learning goals assessed and delivered. It can be challenging to know what swimming abilities you or your child has; we offer a free trial class for all first-time students. This evaluation of a student’s swimming abilities will indicate which class format is the best fit. We deliver private, semi-private, and group lessons. In our semi-private lessons, there is a maximum of two students to each instructor. Your child can be grouped with another child of a similar level or a sibling with different swimming experiences. Our group lessons are limited to three students; our 3:1 ratio allows for the individualized attention your child needs and deserves. Semi-private and group lessons allow for peer engagement and encouragement.
At Steve Wallen Swim School, we recognize that committing to a full session of swim lessons is a challenge for many, so we also offer drop-in swim lessons. Drop-in lessons are also a perfect option when you need a bit of fine-tuning on your strokes. Our small class size allows for more learning, more student-teacher interaction, and more time for correction, assessment, and reinforcement of the many skills taught here at Steve Wallen Swim School.
#4. Qualified Swimming Instructors
We pride ourselves on our comprehensive curriculum, state of the art facilities, and our highly trained swim instructors. Building a relationship with your swim instructor allows for trust, and for your instructor to know what motivates your child, what style of instruction and praise they prefer, and what fears they may have. Our instructors are highly trained and skilled, and each one is personally taught and supervised by the Wallen family.
Also, Steve Wallen Swim School is a proud member of the United States Swim School Association and has taught over 25,000 students and counting! Our swim lessons are designed to meet each learner’s needs and give all learners the attention they deserve. Whether this is your first time taking part in swim lessons or if you are ready to train for competitive swimming, Steve Wallen Swim School is the place to learn. Let our vast swim experience help you thoroughly enjoy the water and the many benefits of being a swimmer!
#5. Warm Water and FUN Experience!
Learning to swim is a challenge, and this challenge is more intensive if the pool water is too cold. Children and adults may have a hard time focusing on the lesson if they are cold and shivering. Being chilly is a distraction from learning, understanding, and performing. At Steve Wallen Swim School, our pools are always set at a comfortable temperature of 90 degrees, which optimizes learning and enjoyment.
