Benefits of Private Swimming Lessons for Children

1) A Crucial Life Skill:

Learning to swim with Steve Wallen Swim School will set your child on a safer path; competent swimmers enjoy a wide range of aquatic activities such as boating, canoeing, diving, and snorkeling with a reduced risk of drowning. In addition, knowing how to swim, even a few different strokes, will allow your child to engage in a healthy, total body workout for years to come! Learning to swim with our experienced and highly trained instructors is safe, enjoyable, and memorable! Knowing how to swim will keep your child safer and allow them to engage in the joys of water!

2) Individualized and Focused Attention:

Our decades-long experience in teaching children how to swim has taught us that many children benefit from private swim lessons; in this one-to-one setting, children have the opportunity to settle into this new environment and get to know their instructor. Similarly, your child’s instructor will have the time needed to get to know your child’s best learning style, what motivates them, and where their instructional focus needs to be. We believe that a one-to-one learning environment offers the most significant opportunity for focused, individualized attention.

3) Teaching Swimming is What We Do:

Our state-of-the-art pools in El Dorado Hills and Roseville were specifically designed for teaching babies, children, and adults how to swim. Our family has painstakingly crafted our learn-to-swim program, and each and every instructor must complete our rigorous training and meet our exacting standards. We then continuously mentor, coach, and train our instructors to be their very best. Unlike many other pools, ours is just for teaching, so there are fewer distractions, such as those from water slides, aquafit classes, and splash features! With few distractions, your child’s learning is optimized!

4) Meets Your Need for Flexibility:

While other facilities offer lessons on a rigid, set calendar, Steve Wallen Swim School provides a wide range of group lessons, as well as private and semi-private lessons! Consider how well this option works in your busy schedule: our private lessons start every half hour Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am till 7:00 pm!! And even more lesson times every Sunday! This wide range of availability means your child can learn to swim, even when your schedule is jam-packed.

5) Custom Made:

Like all children, your child is unique and special. Not all children learn the same way, nor do they learn at the same pace. Many children have specific needs that need to be met, including physical differences and learning differences. We have the experience, care, and expertise needed to meet whatever learning needs your child requires to become a real swimmer! Private and semi-private lessons are ideal settings; your child’s learning drives the pace and content, and each lesson will be customized to meet your child’s needs. We strive for every student’s success at Steve Wallen Swim School!
