Swimming Safer, Together
At Steve Wallen Swim School, the safety of our customers and team is our #1 priority! In order to maintain the health and safety of our students, staff and community, we are always monitoring recommendations and developments from the appropriate health agencies. We stand ready to reevaluate and update our processes and actions accordingly to slow the spread of Coronavirus, as well as any other health concerns. The SWSS team is doing everything possible to ease your mind while still providing you with a great SWSS experience once you’re ready to jump back in!
Some of the many changes we are implementing in order to create a safe, fun experience at SWSS are as follows:
Safer Customer
Face Coverings
All guests age 3+ are required to wear face coverings while in the facility. Students are not required to wear face coverings in the pool, but we do ask that they wear them upon entering and exiting the facility as required by state & local authorities.
Health Questionnaires
All visitors will get a text & email before every class with a health questionnaire. If they answer yes to any questions, we ask that they take advantage of our flexible makeup policy and schedule a makeup once they can answer no to all questions.
Social Distancing
Customers are asked to maintain 6 feet of social distancing at all times in the facility. Chairs in the viewing area and swim stations for students will all be set up as required by our state and local authorities.
Safer Staff
Face Shields/Masks
Each member of our team will always be wearing face shields during private, semi-private and group swim lessons in the water and they will be wearing face masks when they are out of the water.
Screening & Temperature Checks
Following state and local directives, our team will be required to answer no to a questionnaire and a temperature check each day upon entering the facility in order to stay at work.
Social Distancing
Our team will maintain social distancing in and out of the pool. Teachers and the students they are teaching will be an exception in order to properly teach classes.
Safer Facility
Social Distancing
During this time we will limit classes and customers in the facility. We also ask that students come in their suit and leave in their suit in order to limit time in the facility. Please maintain a safe distance from other people while in our facility.
More Routine Cleanings & Sanitizer Stations
We take great pride in the cleanliness of our swim schools! All facility doors, chairs, restrooms and other high traffic areas are cleaned every 30 minutes & after every class, plus we are providing hand soaps and disinfectant stations.
Removal of Shared Items in Play Area
In order to help stop the spread of germs we will temporarily remove all toys, books, hairdryers, tables, etc from the facility. We appreciate your understanding!
Additional safety measures will be implemented at specific facilities based on state and local authorities and guidelines. We look forward to your continued support. We will see you in the pool when you are ready. Just keep swimming! —The SWSS Family
