Swimmers of the Month for August 2017
Congratulations to Nicole and John from Orangevale, California, our Steve Wallen Swim School swimmers of the month for August!
Indoor Year-Round Swim Lessons and Swim Instruction
Nicole is 4 years old and recently started swim lessons at Steve Wallen Swim School in April. When Nicole first started, she was very nervous and even shed a couple tears. After working very hard during her swim lessons with us, she has now progressed to swimming full laps of the pool freestyle. She initially learned to use rollovers in order to breathe while swimming freestyle, and has now advanced to using side breaths for the entire lap. Nicole has also learned how to do backstroke. Most importantly, Nicole loves her swim lessons and has developed a great relationship with her swim instructor!
Advance Swimming Confidence, Efficiency, and Stroke Technique
When Nicole first started her learn-to-swim classes with us in April, she was also very afraid of the deep end. After a couple months of classes, she gained more mental confidence in the water and improved her swimming skills. Now, all she wants to do is swim in the deep end.
Learn-To-Swim Classes in El Dorado Hills
John, or John John as he likes to be called, is 2 years old and recently started swim lessons with us in April as well. When John John first started his swim lessons he was a little afraid of the water and really didn’t even want to get his face wet. Being the brave boy that he is, he pushed through his fear and soon began to develop confidence in both his swim instructor and the water. He has now progressed to pushing off the step and island independently using streamline arms and big arms. He is also learning how to float on his back all by himself.
