Success in Swimming: Our Commitment to You – Steve Wallen Swim School in Roseville and El Dorado Hills

Steve Wallen Swim School has been recognized as a leader in the industry for over four decades. Designated as an essential service during this global pandemic, our state-of-the-art facilities are top-rated and family-owned, and operated. We take enormous pride in setting a gold standard when it comes to teaching babies, toddlers, children, teens, and adults how to swim and how to be safe in and around the water.

Small class sizes mean more individual attention

Our success comes from our ongoing commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience. One of the many ways in which we achieve such success is through our unique milestone program. While some learn-to-swim programs offer rigid, linear, prerequisite-driven skill progressions, we offer encouragement, recognition, and reward through continuous learning.

Swimming Lessons Catered To Every Child’s Learning Pace

In rigid learning programs, children often become discouraged because they may excel at one aspect of swimming but are held back because they are challenged by one element of a swim “level.” Other times, children can master the skills, but they need more time to develop endurance or strength for various reasons. Again, they are held back because they need this time to develop further. When children face these kinds of barriers, they may become so disheartened they want to abandon their lessons. As learning to swim is an essential life skill, they must stick with their lessons.

Learn to swim, learn to be water safe…programs for the entire family!

3:1 Student-To-Teacher Swimming Class Ratio

At Steve Wallen Swim School, we highly value the individual learning needs of every child. That’s why we keep our group classes to a limit of just three students per instructor. Our highly trained instructors will keep your child engaged and challenged and give them the space they need to take their time when needed.

Learning To Swim Is a Continuous Journey

Rather than levels, badges, or a pass/fail system, Steve Wallen Swim School embraces the concept of continuous learning. We offer the encouragement of colorful ribbons to recognize when a skill is accomplished, regardless of age or timeline. For example, a bright blue ribbon is given for the first time a swimmer gets their face wet to recognize that “face in the water is magic.” When your child can jump off the wall without googles, then turn back and swim to the wall without any assistance, they will receive a rainbow ribbon.

These ribbons are a simple way to recognize important swim milestones, but the real reward comes from the skills and knowledge your child will learn with every lesson. Whether you choose to swim with us in El Dorado Hills or Roseville, you can be sure that every lesson means your child is having a fantastic time and learning to be water-safe.

Steve Wallen Swim School is the best swim school…find out why!
